New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts – RCA Dome (Artificial)

Line: Indy -3 (Unchanged)

Over/Under: 47½ (Opening: 49½)

2006/07 Records: Patriots 14-4 (11-7 ATS), Colts 14-4 (10-8 ATS)

Game Time: 6:30 p.m. EST

Key Injuries

New England: The Pats only have a few players who are hurting, but they are all key contributors.

WR Troy Brown has the flu and is listed as questionable.

S Rodney Harrison is listed as doubtful with a knee injury.

CB Ellis Hobbs is injured, but it remains unclear what part of him is dinged. He hinted to the Boston Globe that he would get offseason surgery, but wouldn’t say where. His status for Sunday is unclear.

QB Tom Brady has a (wink, wink) right shoulder injury that is (wink, wink) bothering him.

Indianapolis: The Colts will, in all likelihood, have the services of both WR Marvin Harrison and RB Joseph Addai, but how effective they are remains to be seen.

Harrison is suffering from a wrist injury and Addai is still feeling pain from a shoulder injury he suffered last week against the Ravens.

OT Ryan Diem (shoulder) and OG Ryan Lilja (knee) are both questionable.

Key Everyedge Trends

The Patriots have a record of 8-4-1 ATS in their last 13 playoff games.

New England has a mark of 4-2 ATS in their last six playoff games played on the road.

The Patriots are 4-2-1 ATS in their last seven playoff games as a road underdog.

New England is 10-2 ATS in their last 12 road starts (including the loss to Denver in last year’s playoff).

The Patriots are 5-0 ATS in their last five starts and are 7-2 ATS in their last nine overall.

New England is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 visits to Indianapolis over the last decade.

The Patriots are 8-2-1 ATS the last 11 times they have faced the Colts, including two playoff wins (both wins were in New England), and are 17-7-1 ATS in their last 25 games vs. Indianapolis.

Coach Bill Belichick is 10-1 ATS when avenging an upset loss against an opponent as a favorite, since being with New England.

Overall, Indianapolis has a record of 4-7 ATS in their last 11 playoff games, but they are 4-3 ATS since 2003.

The Colts are 3-1 ATS in their last four home playoff games.

WinnerOnline Opinion: The Colts will always be seen as the team that couldn’t so long as they continue to miss out on the Super Bowl. It used to be a guaranteed Patriots win every time these two teams met, but although the Colts have solved the New England riddle in the regular season, it’s not the case in the playoffs. Brady and Belichick are formidable opponents, but Peyton is due. Look for Indy to take down the Pats by four or more.
